The Production Process

Production Line 1

  • Final filtration with 0.45 micron Absolute rated (sterile) – integrity tested. Other non-sterile options – nominal filters
  • Counter pressure Pressure Filler
    • Superblock (the filling process from rinser to closers within isolated room with sterile filtrated air)
    • Rinser with Ozonized water
    • Closure: Screwcap (30/60 & 28); Zork; Crown Pry-off & Twist-off – 26mm&29mm; Cork (ordinary still wine and sparkling); Wirehood
    • Pressure filling at higher temperature for possible filling & labelling as one process
  • Foil machine
  • Self-adhesive label-machines
  • Fully automated line from depalletizing to palletizing (exception: dividers & specialized packaging)
  • Capability of up to 4000L per hour for pressure filling & 6000ℓ for still product (750 mℓ bottles)
  • Carbonation for Perle products (150-270Kpa) or Sparkling wine/ juice (+/-560Kpa), grape juice 450-500Kpa
  • Carton label application inline, printing on cartons (limited), printing on label and bottle for lot tracking
  • An array bottles (Glass & PET)
  • Final packaging in 6x 12x cartons or Bins
  • Minimum Quantity 10 000 litres

Production Line 2

  • Final filtration with 0.45 micron Absolute rated (sterile) – integrity tested. Other non-sterile options – nominal filters
  • Pressure Filler
    • Rinser with Ozonized water
    • Closure: Screwcap (30/60 & 28); Zork; Crown Pry-off & Twist-off – 26mm&29mm; Cork (ordinary still wine and sparkling); Wirehood
    • Pressure filling at low temperature (limited possibility of filling & labelling inline).  Still wine & RTD labelling inline.
  • Foil machine
  • PVC / Polilaminated capsule application
  • Self-adhesive label-machines
  • Semi-automated line (Manual actions: Loading bottles on line, certain closures dispensing, carton-erector, dividers & specialized packaging)
  • Capability of up to 3500L per hour for pressure filling & 5000ℓ for still product (750 mℓ bottles)
  • Carbonation for Perle products (150-270Kpa) or Sparkling wine/ juice (+/-560Kpa), grape juice 450-500Kpa
  • Carton label application inline, printing on cartons (limited), printing on label and bottle for lot tracking
  • An array bottles (Glass & PET)
  • Sleeving inline
  • Final packaging in 6x 12x cartons, 6 & 4 packs shrink-wrapped in trays with overwrap (RTD), Bins
  • Preferable Quantity minimum 10 000 litres

Production Line 3

  • Final filtration with 0.45 micron Absolute rated (sterile) – integrity tested. Other non-sterile options – nominal filters
  • Low pressure filler (filling of still product)
    • Rinser with Ozonized water
  • Closure: Screwcap (30/60); Cork (ordinary still wine) PVC / Polylaminated capsule application
    • filling & labelling as one process
  • Capability up to 40 00lt per hour
  • Self-adhesive labeller
  • Mostly Manual actions: Loading bottles, Carton erecting, Carton Label application, Bottles Packed by hand in cartons
  • Printing on cartons (limited), printing on label and bottle for lot tracking
  • An array of GLASS bottles (No Pet.)
  • Final packaging in 6x 12x cartons or Bins
  • Minimum Quantity 5000 litres

Production Line 4

  • Inline Labelling machine (GAI) for reworks and small labelling’s.
  • Printing on cartons (limited), printing on label and bottle for lot tracking
  • Mostly Manual actions: Loading bottles, Carton erecting, Carton Label application, Bottles Packed by hand in cartons 

Sleeve application line

  • For heat shrinking sleeves on bottle 

Maintenance

Preventative and planned maintenance programs are in place to ensure minimum downtime and to assist with set-up of non-standard labels

Design and development of products - PBM is a service provider and all customers are responsible for their own design and development of packaging within PBM capability to handle the packaging material. SQA where it is the responsibility of the client to ensure compliance to specification and food safety - Packaging or raw materials used for processing are selected and provided by the client. Selection of suppliers used by PBM's clients is outside the direct control of PBM. Materials provided by the client constitute customer property and are controlled by PBM to prevent their damage or deterioration while it is on our premises.
